Jay D. Johnson is a Professional Photographer/Multi-Media Coordinator for the City of Jackson. He is the first African American to serve in this capacity and has been employed with the Jackson Police Department for over 30 years. The Greater Jackson Arts Council is proud to display his photography in our main galleries for the month of February.

The Opportunity
A dozen Sonicbids finalists will be selected to perform their originals on the Duling Hall stage on Thursday, March 1, 2018. Duling Hall is a premiere music venue in Jackson that has hosted artists like Anderson East, Shelby Lynne, Rickie Lee Jones and Todd Rundgren.

First place receives $1,000, second place receives $750, and third place receives $250. The top three finalists also receive professional recording time and a personal branding package from an award-winning graphic designer. All 12 finalists will receive gift bags at the VIP reception prior to the performance event.

To qualify as an OFFICIAL finalist, songwriters must be available to perform live at SING YOUR SONG 2 in Jackson, Mississippi on Thursday, March 1, 2018.
